LAUNCH PROGRAM & PROGRAM DE LANZAMIENTO

  • The Launch Program is a 12 week hands-on intensive business startup program. Participants work alongside a small group of other startups to develop their ideas into a real business. K66 provides weekly workshops, mentorship, and the opportunity to enroll as a Kitchen Member to utilize sales and distribution resources. There is also an all Spanish language version, Programa de Lanzamiento, offering the same education and resources.

    Kitchen Membership provides licensed food businesses with access to a 3,000 sq ft commercial kitchen facility to produce, store and operate the components of their food business. Membership is available on an ongoing basis throughout the year, subject to change do to storage bandwidth

  • Applications for the program typically open in winter and summer each year with an announcement and reminders posted on Facebook and our website. If your application is selected, you will be invited for an interview with our team.

  • This event is a celebration, showcase, and graduation all rolled into one at the end of each Launch Program and Programa de Lanzamiento cohort. Meet the Makers is typically a two hour event held at Mother Road Market where each business can share samples of their food and practice their business pitch to family, friends, industry professionals, and the media.

  • We seek motivated and ambitious entrepreneurs who are eager to take their food concepts to the next level. We welcome any and all food-centric startup concepts including:

    • Packaged food products

    • Catering companies

    • Restaurant concepts

    • Food trucks / trailers

    • Food justice concepts

    • Food education concepts

    • Attended 80% of classes and completed 80% of assignments

    • Participated in Kitchen 66 sales avenues, if applicable

    • Utilized the Kitchen 66 commercial kitchen to test, pilot and grow skills

    • Leveraged one-on-one mentoring sessions with Kitchen 66 leaders and guest speakers

    • Completed Kitchn 66 Life After Launch interview and annual impact assessments

    • Presented at Meet the Makers, detailing brand identity and next steps for your concept

  • The cost of participating in the Launch Program and Programa de Lanzamiento is $500. This includes all programming, training, kitchen access, and so much more to help support our participants in the growth and scaling of their business. However, we do not want cost to be a barrier for anyone to participate in either program. Scholarships are available on a limited basis and participants will be asked to indicate the anticipated method of payment and / or need for scholarship assistance in the application. This will in no way impact your application for either course.

KITCHEN MEMBERSHIP

  • The first step to joining is filling out our application form! You can find the form here and submit any questions to info@kitchen66tulsa.com. Please keep in mind that onboarding as a new kitchen member is a process. It may not happen over night but we will work together every step of the way to create a smooth process.

  • Kitchen space is retained by the hour, and our companies pay a monthly invoice for their time used. Each station has a different hourly rate, but on average, folks pay about $12/hour. Additionally, there is a $100 monthly membership fee on top of any hourly rental fees.

  • The first requirement is to fill out the interest form! You can access our application here. Outside of that, there are some basic requirements listed below (but not limited to):

    • EIN number

    • Sales Tax Permit

    • General Liability Insurance

    • LLC Documentation

    • Tulsa Health Department License

    Depending on the type of license you obtain with the Tulsa Health Department, you may have additional paperwork to submit before licensure.

  • No! You have enough costs as a food start-up, so there is no joining fee or annual membership fee. There is no annual fee or annual commitment- memberships run on a month to month basis. There is however a monthly membership fee of $100/month.

  • Due to various zoning and production regulations, Kitchen 66 cannot be home to companies processing THC-containing products.

  • While we’re home to many companies who do not produce anything major allergens, we cannot certify that we’re allergen friendly.

  • Yes we can! We’re able to fulfill commissary kitchen requirements as outlined by Tulsa Health Department. As a member of Kitchen 66, you’ll have access to waste water disposal, grease disposal, fresh water and dishwashing. Please note that food truck / trailer fees may differ from regular kitchen membership fees.

  • For inquiries on using our space to film, please email info@kitchen66tulsa.com with the following information:

    • Date / time of filming

    • Number of people in film crew

    • Equipment requirements

    • Production company, media outlet, etc that will be filming

    Please note that inquiries for filming should be submitted at least one week in advance of filming. Because we are a shared-use kitchen, there may be other in the kitchen at the time of filming.
